Objectives: The Objectives of The Board of Vocational Education and Skill Development-BVESD are to: • Promote commitment by all supporters and promoters to own Skill Development Initiatives. • Enable the establishment of flexible delivery mechanisms • Enable effective coordination between different likeminded promoters and supportes • Develop a very high-quality skilled dedicated workforce/entrepreneur as per the market needs. • Create ample Opportunities for all walks of lives to acquire Skills throughout life, and especially for youth, women and disadvantaged groups. The Board of Vocational Education and Skill Development-BVESD was created by autonomous body after getting duly registered and TM by Government of Uttar Pradesh and Govt of India. in the year 2011. What is vocational education skill development? Vocational education is education that prepares people to a skilled craft as an artisan, trade as a tradesperson, or work as a technician. Vocational education can also be seen as that type of education given to an individual to prepare that individual to be gainfully employed or self employed with requisite skill. Scope of the National Skill Development Policy: Training for self-employment/entrepreneurial development. Adult learning, retraining of retired or retiring employees and lifelong learning. Non-formal training including training by civil society organizations.
